Looks like trying to control guns has not worked so well, we still got our AR 10, but now there is a new twist and its sweeping a lot of states, NY, NJ and others are looking at it.
Its called a Permit to Purchase guns and or ammo. So you have to PROVE you are not a crazy or anything else (you are assumed guilty until proven innocent) and you have to pay a tax or fee to obtain the permit which restricts the qty and timeframe in which you can buy.
The Liberal thought is that this does not INFRINGE upon your RIGHT to keep and bear arms. It just makes sure only good guys can buy guns and ammo...and if you believe that...Governors and Mayors are jumping on this, Bloomberg, Chris Christie (our wanna be Republican gov and Pres candidate)
A California state senator has introduced a bill there that would require background checks for ammo purchases. Look out for another round of hoarding! :banghead:
Now your trying to confuse the issue with logic! Remember, all they want to deal with is emotion, except of course your anger about not requiring an ID to vote!
In my little town of Denison, Iowa they had a special location for hispanics to vote, even had an "interpreter" that went into the booth with them............voter ID laws have become very popular there after this sham! I had always assumed you had to be a citizen to vote and that english was a requirement for citizenship, I must have been mistaken.......that or my country has been usurped
I will lay a FACT on you: In the state of Texas all that is needed is a Sam's club card ow other form of ANY ID.
My wife has been an election judge and she and I have both sat thru the course you must take to be a judge. And YES they HOLD up a Sam's club card to show you an acceptable form of ID.
Bottom line is, 11 million illegals can vote for President in the US...
The organizer for the "special" polling place in Denison was a Democratic party organizer and previous candidate for Iowa house, she dropped out of the race when her only campaign contributors turned out to be the Iowa civil servants union, now she works for the state unemployment agency, Iowa Workforce Development, as well as "organizing".
Our Iowa Secretary of state, Matt Schultz, is fighting hard to get voter ID, he is actively pursuing voter fraud but gets shut down by the feds at every turn.
I have never been asked for any ID to vote in Iowa.

The county you live in, like the one I live in, is termed to be a "safe haven" for illegals: this means LE have to turn a blind eye to suspicious activity until it becomes illegal activity. The County Board is the one who sets these up unofficially, usually with your local or state chamber of commerce backings. Cheap labor= huge profits.
I'm sure profit IS the motive. We have three meat packing plants that need thousands of laborers to keep running. When I was in high school they were paying up to $18/hour, I don't think they pay much over $10/hour for the hardest jobs now. The illegals don't take the offered health insurance or file work comp claims, they just go to the hospital under an alias and the county gets stuck with the bill.
Went to LE when a hispanic "gang" sold meth to my teenage daughter years ago, they just told me to stay away, they were dangerous people. Not being one to stand around with family in danger I paid the "gang" a visit. When I kicked in their front door they all ran out the back door, real dangerous!
The hispanic neighbor let her van roll down her drive and hit my truck in my driveway. Of course she had no insurance. They gave her a ticket for that which she paid, I had to go to small claims for a judgment, $2,800 for the repairs. When I paid to have the judgment served they came out of the Tyson plant that I followed her to several mornings prior and told me nobody under that name worked there. They never went to her house or followed up on a thing. She lived next door for another 3 years and I never saw a dime, she went to work 6 days a week! Had a republican sheriff and a democrat sheriff during this time, same results with both. My only satisfaction is being a constant thorn in their sides! :whip:
