You best bet IMO is to put together a basic box with the min NEEDED most prone to failure components. Then insure the box is large enough to carry other items that one could purchase.
Kits like this are known thru all industry. One area of push back by buyers is having to buy items they don't use or have never used.
Were it me, I would turn to you support staff and get a list of top ordered repair parts over the past 3 years or so. Now depending upon the price point you can configure the box to provide the most common and NEEDED parts.
Good advice Cowboy. I might add double up on those parts that can disappear into cracks in the floor- extractor springs, firing pin cotter, etc.. The one time I had a mechanical breakage was on my AR180. An extractor spring disintigrated, no reason why. Fortunately I had a spare parts kit with me. Five minutes I was good to go. But I was outdoors in sand, if I had dropped it, game over, I didn't have a second one.
And we have ourselves a winner, Sisco now gets a chance to move on to the lighting round where the questions are tuffer but the prizes are bigger... :twothumbs:
If it's not too cost prohibitive, different weight buffers (C, H1, H2). 2x sets of gas rings for the bolt, O-rings, extractors (complete), extractor springs and extractor spring inserts, trigger guard, firing pins, and firing pin retaining pins.
Do them up like rebuild kits? have a basic, middlin', and masters. Then divide that up by the number of weapons serviced by the kit. So a busy shop could order a master 25 kit and have 25 of everything on hand where as us peons could get a master 1 for doing a complete build, or a basic 2 to just have those breakage/loss parts on hand.
Maybe have restock for the masters size kits so a person could bulk order just what they are low on?
