After an extended stay in Ohio, I was finally paroled and able to leave.
So Tuesday morning, I got on the bike to begin my long ride home.
As I started out my morning, it was a cool brisk ride on the west bound I-80. Shortly after starting my trek, I started to get hit by some surprise sprinkles about the Toledo area. It had got to the point that I had to pull into a service area and escape the rain.
After about an hour, I was able to continue my journey again. Moving on down the turn pike.
It wasn't till I was into Indiana, that I was once again found under a cloud and being pelted with rain drops the size of nickels. I found another service area to pull into and grab a hot cup of joe to warm the body and try to dry off somehow.
This time the rain didn't last long, but I waited it out a little more so the semis' would wear the water off the highway.
After a brief wait and a large cup of hot joe, I was able to get back on the road... again.
The rest of the way was smooth sailing, a little cold, but smooth none the less.
After using my new 275 clothes dryer, I was finally dry and starting to warm up.
Finally, I made it into Illinois and the rest of the trek was all down hill for me. So after taking my last exit off the highway at exit 1, I made it home and back to my office job.

Not sure what you wear that far N this time of year, but down heres with temps in the 100 range and sitting atop at air cooled Harley with no windshield we dress fairly light. Jeans jacket, no sleeves, open front to let the air come in, jeans with slits just about the top of the knee to let the air come in and cool the legs.
And the sometimes summer sprinkles seem to come out of nowhere with rain drops as big as grapes. Talk about sting and bruised, whelps all over...LOL more than once I have sat under a tree or anything to ease the pain...
Glad you are back Mr R and as always keep those 2 wheel DOWN on the pavement my friend...
