Well its not only AR10 that got hacked. I just got an e mail from a BIG Ar forum and it was a part of the e mail list, giving personal data, full name etc...
Glad I don't bother with those other joints... :laugh:
I also don't really see a need to drag stuff from other forums in here to ours. Maybe it's just me but I also wouldn't walk into Armalite and ask a bunch of questions about bushmasters either....
It all shows how careful a person has to be with their personal info. I can't understand the advantage the hackers think they gain. How many would really buy stuff that comes in unsolicited emails? Maybe they could compile enough info to steal an identity but there are so many safeguards and insurances that deal with this it rarely becomes a serious problem, more of just a hassle.
As far as taking over the site like they did to ours it makes no sense at all, I put them on my "never buy from" list!
Thankfully Martin seems to have our info safeguarded well, I didn't hear of any emails stolen here! :twothumbs:
