The Marines covered their buckles with their hands. I dont believe I have ever seen a Marine do that. I do know everything a Marine does means SOMETHING. Anybody know? :usa:


At bootcamp they made us do this thing called "ceremonial parade rest" where we put both our hands over out belt buckles, and last time I heard the marines at 8th and I only did ceremonial drill, not traditional. any maybe they did that just so camera flashes won't mess up the pictures or something. I donno.

The reactions were interesting because people let their political butthurtedness flow into their opinions on the matter. People seem to forget that we’re Marines, and this is exactly the kind of :censored: that Marines do. Somehow, holding an umbrella for the President and the Turkish Prime Minister is seen as demeaning, while all of the other bull :censored: that Marines do every day is not. I find it entertaining to see Marines on my Facebook page saying things like, “I would have told him to :censored: off and hold his own umbrella.”

We’re Marines, if the President of the :censored: United States asks you to hold a :censored: umbrella, you hold a :censored: umbrella. As well, the day I give a :censored: about a boot Corporal holding an umbrella is the day I’ve forgotten what the Marine Corps is. Honestly, holding an umbrella for the President is probably the least demeaning thing I could imagine doing as a Marine, as opposed to the other bull :censored: I had to do every day. No one would think twice about asking a boot to police call cigarette butts across the entire base at 5am, but the minute this boot has to hold an umbrella for the Commander in Chief, people get upset.

He’s the President, he rates an umbrella.

Get over it.

I think he is just another shill for Obama, he lives in San Fran and is an artist who draws pics for a living, think he is a loser. Looks like he got pulled out of combat as Infantry and sent back to the rear to draw cartoons (no not kidding)

Sorry folks I disagree. Obama has shown a steady and constant disrespect for the military, America, our Constitution and the liberty of the American people. This JERK-WAD could have backup 3 steps and been on a covered porch. Its against military regs for a male member to carry a umbrella. Where this in a situation where it was have been so disruptive or too far away etc and he needed to be sheltered from the rain, then fine, so be it, common sense rains (no pun intended) but in this case this was simply not so.

This Richard-weed sees himself as a King and our dictator, he is neither, he should be run out of office and him, Holder and Billary should be put in jail where they belong and never again share in the bounty of being a free American...

Gentlemen, there are 4 DEAD Americans, 2 of them SOLDIERS and a DEAD Border Patrolman, their hands, all of them are bloody...
