Texas, 11 Other States Ask U.S. Supreme Court to Hear the States’ Legal Challenge to the EPA’s Flawed Greenhouse Gas Regulations

AUSTIN — Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott and Attorneys General from 11 other states on Friday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the legality of the Obama Administration’s unprecedented and overreaching greenhouse gas environmental regulatory scheme. In a petition for writ of certiorari filed Friday, the States explain that the EPA violated the U.S. Constitution as well as the federal Clean Air Act by concocting its greenhouse gas regulations without Congressional authorization. The States explain that the EPA ignored Congress’ law-making role by re-writing federal laws through administrative rule-making. The States urge the Supreme Court to overturn the Obama Administration’s “attempts to unilaterally implement policies in the absence of congressionally delegated authority” and to “rein in a usurpatious agency and remind the President and his subordinates that they cannot rule by executive decree.”

“Since Day One of the Obama Administration, the EPA has issued a barrage of overreaching and illegal regulations,” Attorney General Abbott said. “In doing so, the EPA has not only ignored the devastating economic impacts of their regulations, but also ignored the laws of our land. The EPA’s greenhouse gas regulations were unlawfully created out of whole cloth and are a massive burden on states and businesses. As Texas has proven in other lawsuits against the EPA, this is a runaway federal agency that must be reined in. In the last 13 months alone, federal courts have ruled against the EPA and in favor of Texas in three separate lawsuits.”1

The 12-state coalition includes Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and South Dakota. The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is also a petitioner.

So the EPA is acting like the ATF.

Not that it matters, but these people are as knowledgeable on green house gasses as they are on gun control. More choosing to ignore facts and make bank from sensationalized reactionary nonsense.

EPA cares nothing about making the world or the US a better cleaner place, what they are is thugs working directly for Obama out to crush capitalism....

Yep!

You might note the very last item in my post: "Cross-State Air Pollution Rule" What this is, is a rule by Obama/EPA that a town can sue another town for pollution. Well a town in Texas got sued by the EPA representing another town. WHERE? Some small town (very small, I never heard of it) in Ill, yes ILLINOIS!!! So our AG, Greg Abbott, sued the EPA and yes he won. Kind of hard to prove someone in Ill is having a hard time breathing because some business in some city in Texas is the cause. IIRC it was the ACLU that brought the case to the EPA...

I do`nt know how Montana`s politicians stand on these matters, but, coal is , I believe, the number one export from this state so I`d "guess" that We would be against anything that has to do with air pollution and these so called green house gasses. :cowboy: :rotfl:

On another note: when God created this globe,it was all covered with a shroud and the earths temps was about equal all around the globe, being tropical.
Man had never actually never seen the sun,moon nor stars, not until Noahs flood.
After the flood, the suns rays were allowed to come to earth and to man, the stars became visible, there was also unequal temperatures, thus creating the polar ice caps and an ice age caused from the wells { including the volcanoes and their ash which reflects the suns rays back into space } that had sprung forth.
So it seems for the very first time man h got to see ice and winter and real seasons, with the earth being mostly cold and ice.
well Now, them big business and polticians created this thing called global warming so they could creat new laws and rules and regulations that will line their pockets,before and after retirement.
Now, do You want to know the real truth about global warming, OK, the earth is not going into global warming but rather receeding from an ice age and "Global Cooling",in other words, the Earth is just trying to return to the same temps as it was before Noahs flood.
About twenty years ago,it was a rare ocassion that a volcanoe erupted,when I was in grade school one of Our teachers taught us that the volcanoes were all dead and We would never see an eruption from one of them ever.so there was a VERY LONG period of no volcanoes erupting, now today, that has changed, there is an ocassional eruption and ash being spewed into the atmosphere, now We need about four more major eruptions within about three years and we will be wondering how come We are seeing more than normal cool temps and the glaciers are growing again.
It is the Volcanic ash,reflecting the suns rays back into space that gives us "Global Cooling".
