2005 Bright Red Quad cab. 110,000 miles and still not a speck of rust. U joints, one starter, a oil cooler, and thats been it for repair. I keep on looking at new ones, but I use the money for ammo and vacations instead because I don't find anything I like better. My last company car was an AWD Charger, and that was great too. Wife likes Cadillacs, but I can't talk her into a CTS-V unfortunately.
Say, what is that powder charge you use behind a 168 gr SMK?? I wrote it down, but I can't find it. Also what powder do you like?
40 gr. of IMR 4895, COL: 2.8". My REPR likes it, but the AR10 carbine loves it.
Ram trucks - Check out the interiors on the new Rams. I'm very happy with them. And if you DO trade for another 1500, realize that a CD player is a stand alone option for 2013. So if you haven't made the jump from CDs to iPod/MP3/Smartphone, be sure to check the window sticker closely.
I didn't pay attention when I was ordering '13 Ram 1500s a few months ago and didn't catch it. Now I've got about 30 trucks with no CD players in them.
Or you can wait for the 14's when we'll have an available 3.0 diesel for the Ram half ton. Before you ask, no - it's not a Cummins. It's a Fiat diesel. You can see it in the new 2014 Grand Cherokees which are on the ground now.

Has Mopar gone to data storage for the CD's? We had a Nissan that you could load 90 CD's into the units memory chip so you didnt have to carry them to listen. It also had the serial port for MP3. It was a nice unit, but the GPS unit sucked. Thanks for the load. When I can get it I am going to switch to IMR4895 from RE15. Supposedly it is less temperature sensitive.
What you are loading sounds like a tuned M852 military round. Isnt that the one replaced the M118LR because it was less temperature sensitive?
In some models. In the 12's the Media Center 430/730 and UConnect 8.4 have 20GB hard drives. In the 13's all Ram trucks will have a USB and Serial Port. SLT/Big Horn, Laramie, and Laramie Longhorn will have 2 USBs, Serial port, and SD disk slot. The UConnect 8.4 and UConnect 8.4 A/N will have hard drives.
Nav - For 13, all CJD vehicles will have Garmin-based nav systems.

M852 replaced M118/M118 Special Ball in 1982. It uses 42.2 gr of IMR 4895 under a 168gr Sierra MatchKing (SMK), so mine's a little lighter. M118LR originally used a 175gr SMK over top of 44 gr WC750. Later lots use a Black Hills 175 HPBT over 42.7 gr of RL 15

I heard somewhere that the M118LR was replaced with a less temperature sensitive cartridge and that the Federal Gold Medal Match SMK 175gr 7.62x51 is the civilian equivalent of the new cartridge. Do you know the story behind that?
Federal Gold Medal Match 175 gr is equivalent to M118LR in performance, maybe a little better due to tighter QA/QC. The case isn't as thick as the military 7.62 round. The change to RL 15 came around 2005 or so. Olin, the company that owns the rights to the name "Winchester" lost their contract to run the Lake City ammo plant to Alliant, the parent company of Federal. When Alliant came in, they changed the components used to make M118LR.
RL15 seems to handle the heat better than WC750. In my opinion, the real problem was the inconsistent powder charges. I saw a swing of .4 gr within one 20 round box, dated 1999.
Don't ask how I came by that info, because tampering with ammo is illegal and as a good NCO, I would NEVER have done anything in violation of regulations or the UCMJ.
