They may not use a wind meter. One of those tubes may be a laser that measures the wind over the entire distance to the target. The same technology used by aircraft to measure wind shear while on landing approach. They did say they use a laser to designate the target and use target recognition software so if the target moves it won't fire unless the rifle also moves with the target. So, they may use this same laser to measure the winds. I remember the military working on this about 20 years ago which is about the right timeframe for new technologies being fielded.
