They are wonderful..... I'm on my second reading..... They are classics.... The finest historical fiction ever written...... It made a deference that Patrick O'Brian was a fine historian.... They are master pieces.....

When I went through Beagle Channel, Around Cape Horn and through the Strait of Magellan, I kept on thinking of his books and his adventures in the roaring forties. Just excellent reading.
