I agree that it's a monster but I never enjoy seeing something caught and not USED for anything and I'm sure the guy that caught it was pretty famous for a while way back when but nowadays, we know better and if there is no use for it other than just looking cool in a photo, it should either be released at the boat or cut off as soon as your realize it's not GOOD for anything.
There was a 3000 lb great white caught off the RI coast in the 90s that ended up with the jaws being cut out and then tossed into a dumpster.
The only REAL trophy of catching something big is making sure it is USED and properly - not just for fertilizer or a really cool photo opportunity.
