Do you mean a "KingFisher" or a "FisherCat"? And yes, I've seen both but only once or twice for either.
Ever seen an Osprey dive down into 2 feet of water and come out with a 2 pound flounder or fish of any kind? (that is SO cool to watch if you catch it right from the hover)

A Fisher is the third largest member of the weasel family and a killing terror. Small dog, cats, anything woodchuck size and smaller. That and coyotes are Why I sometimes pack heat when taking our small dogs out at night.
Your question: Yes, many times, we have Osprey at both our houses. I actually witnessed an Eagle killing one and recovered the body for the DNR.
Ever seen a wolf in a trap?
(on the other subject, we call them "fisher cats" here. We have them but they are VERY rare and I've seen a couple in all the years I've been alive and "in this area". Mean bastages them beggars...
Were you present for the birth of your kids? I mean, ya know, right there?
(I was but both boys were C-sections so no view of the other way which I was happy about... Seeing surgery, other than it being my WIFE on the table, was actually easy)
