Just curious.

Mines easy, 13F <- Army MOS. COLT <- Combat Observation Lasing Team. Best job in the Army.

I was kind'a surprised that Charlie wasn't taken, and glad it wasn't too, cause it's the easiest nic for me to remember.

LOL! I had figured the 13F but just figured you liked colt!
They were playing some with laser designators in my day but if we wanted some big shit you better know how to give somebody the right numbers from the right map. I'm betting they still make somebody learn all that but the modern GPS and lasers have to have made things sweet! You have to be right about it being the best job as well, everybody is gonna want you for a friend!
Almost forgot to explain mine, it is my ebay id and my hotmail id. One day I was struggling with ebay to get a name that wasn't being used, James Thomas Allen is on the birth certificat so the jtAllen part makes it easy for people to remember, I graduated in 1983, 83 must have been the 20th try and I've used it for everthing since, never been turned down yet. I really wanted 00 on ebay but some scammer messed up the id.

Mine is easy too. Tx for Texas, where I was born, raised, and still live. Longshot because, well, that's what I like to do-shoot long range, and B4 because that is the Army's designated additional skill identifier code for sniper.

13fcolt, you've gotta add FISTer in there! I actually did some pretty great cross-training with a fist team at Hood in 2005- they were some great guys, and I'm still friends with every one of em' to this day...that's a skill I think every sniper should have to learn, because we find ourselves in the same unique positions as F.O.'s...out in front with eyes on, and sometimes you can see a lot further than you can shoot with a rifle-but not so with a radio and a mortar crew standing by...and the end objective is, after all, to make the bad guy dead...doesn't really matter how.

Colt standards damn near broke me off more than once, I don't mind saying. We have to be spot on with map & compass before they let us have the laser & gps. my platoon sgt. was constantly reminding us that there is a whole army of fisters competing for a shot at colt, anyone that can't hang just needs to say so. I watched 4 guys walk before we hit the sand, 3 more after we got there. But they trying to replace us with robots anyway. Remote controlled, uparmored, 4wheelers, with predator ball on a mast.
Cross training was mostly something we did because there wasn't anyone else to dump it on. Most of them sucked, had that "I'll never need this, it aint my job attitude".
My favorite bunch was the 11's. Now that was a good bunch. They actually listened and learned and were not afraid to just ask questions. We were only supposed to qualify them to shoot polar missions, but since they gave us the effort, we gave them the extra and even talked them through time on target, linear sheaf, coordinated illum, and so on. I got to call in danger close to demonstrate why its called danger close, and spent a lot of time trading notes with the snipers (nobody else I knew had the same love for firearms) we all had way too much fun that week.

Mine's pretty easy too. I can't even seem to receive the gun I just bought before I'm researching the next one. Maybe I need rehab, but on the other hand it's probably better than money in the bank.

It's probably cheaper than re-hab, too!

My friend, you have "GAS": Gun Acquisition Syndrome. It's a common malady in Red States and urban areas with increasing crime rates. There is no cure, but the good news is that it's not fatal. Indeed, GAS seems to increase the life expectancy of its victims in the population studied  .

It always makes me feel better after I go out and shoot something, so it's kinda like re-hab.
