I have an Armalite that has a tactical 2- stage trigger on it. The 1st stage is 3.5 lbs and the 2nd stageis approximately 5-6 lbs. I really want to increase my accuracy, and I understand a lighter trigger can help a lot in that arena. I already have a free float installed as well as a bipod and improved stock. Any suggestions on this? Should I stick with a 2-stage? how light shoulf I go?
I have a Jard 2# in mine and it is the smoothest AR trigger I have ever used .It is 100% relieable and safe . It cut my group size in half fron the factory Armalite NM trigger .It was a pain to install and adjust at first ,but well worth it .No creep, smooth, breaks like glass .never needed readjustment .
FYI the Timney 3# is also very nice and the easyest and fastest to install, a monkey coud install it .
OK,I wuz up the ladder yesterday and forgot to check the package,I will geterdone soon as the wifey awakes, dang attic drop down laadders just make too much noise and if I wakes the wifey up this earlieeeee she`ll start in about that dadgum "Honey wont Yuh do list".or will Yuh do. :S
I have a Jard 2 lb. trigger in my Armalite as well. When I got my trigger group delivered it was not even close to spec. I contacted them, and they explained to me that they had completely re-designed their trigger housing, and I was apperantly the first Armalite owner to order one since they did that. They had used a DPMS lower to spec their housing, and it was quite a bit different from my Armalite.I sent them my lower receiver and they installed the trigger group in house for me and returned it to me. They used my receiver to re-spec the housing, so the issue with fit should now be corrected. All said and done, this trigger is by far the best trigger I have ever used. It is very light and crisp with no over travel at all. Just be sure to let them know that you are installing the trigger in an Armalite AR10!
