First we would have to take a look at the blueprints to see what this really is, post them B) and asking these kind of questions as a new commer to the site can usally only be regarded in a couple of words :pinch: Some one has called the F troops :pinch: Just don't want a friend to land you 5-15 in Federal prision

Gotcha...ill have to scan them. Only paper form right now. Basically its a 168mm aluminum tube with a series of 3mm thick disks sandwished between 4 15mm and one 30 mm spacers with the projectile hole drilled 1mm oversize through the smaller 3mm disks
I did a search and saw the actual website where the prints came from. Ill try to get the link

Kind of sounds like a silencer to me, but would still have to see.
I'm not a laywer or legal expert but, from what I understand supressors ard made to reduce muzzle flash and supress recoil whereas silencers silence or reduce, elimiate noise.

Once again not legal advice, but in Michigan this would be a big No unless the laws have changed. :( Maybe if you had the right license and I'm sure their more trouble than what their worth and for the cost
you would have to be running a business.
We will see what everyone else has to say! or you can always check with the local authorites! Sorry

In general, you need a Federal Firearms License (FFL) type 10 to manufacture a suppressor.

The following opinion:
www.ag.state.mi.us/opinion/datafiles/2010s/op10339.htm

The possession, manufacture, or sale of a firearm silencer is permitted in Michigan under MCL 750.224(1)(b) if the person is licensed or approved to possess, manufacture, or sell such a device by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as required by MCL 750.224(3)(c). Possession, manufacture, or sale of a firearm silencer by an unlicensed or unapproved person is a felony, punishable by up to five years imprisonment under MCL 750.224(2).

Suggests that the requirement to have a FFL type 10 still stands in Michigan.

So... "home made" suppressors made by someone without the correct license is likely a law enforcement issue as I read it.
