The ones Model 1 sells are made by Cherokee sales as well.

Externally, there's no difference in LOP between an M16A2 stock and the buttstock Armalite uses.

If I was going to get one, it would be for the adjustable stock. Leb, do you know of any that will go onto the Armalite adjustable stocks without too much hassle?

I'd really like to keep as many pieces "Armalite" as I can and just prefer not to go aftermarket for the stock if I can help it. It's a "loyalty" thing I spose.. :)

The problem you run into with adjustable buttstocks and cheek risers is room for the charging handle to be pulled to the rear. I know Magpul makes a spring loaded riser for their CTR buttstock to address that issue, but I've never seen or used one so I'm not wont to give an opinion on it.

What exactly did it take to install that thing Sisco? I MIGHT be interested but I dunno. There doesn't look like there is any adjustment. What does it take to switch back to irons or are you stuck ONLY using your scope once it's mounted?

Help me out here please Sir...

No my scope mount allows me to use my iron sights as well. All it does is allow you to get a cheek weld with a scope mount on top of the handle. Easy to put on, took me about five minutes. Model 1 where I bought it has some different style cheek pieces for the collapsible stocks as well. Might want to check out their website. Haven't used it yet, but looking to early part of next week. My shooting buddy is a fireman and he's pulling duty for a few days. The charging handle slides right back into the slot with plenty of clearance, so that is not a problem. To install it I had to take off the butt stock sling holder. Then three screws needed to be inserted and tightened, than the sling strap holder had to be reattached. That was it.

Answer this for me, if you were in a bad situation and in a major hurry and had to slip in a mag, charge it and be ready to fire in a serious rush, would, or COULD that cheek piece have an impact on your success?

Or would you need to do some practicing and THEN it would be fine?

On the Model1 website hit "Furniture" than "Buttstock Accessories" they have them for CAR's as well as m4 style stocks as well as three different types for an A2 stock. Hope this helps.
