I have read great things about these sights, and I was looking to replace the stock sights on my AR 10 which I just purchased. Would these sights work on the AR10? Do any of you have experience with them?

Hey check these out SP sights from Midwest I know they will work otherwise the one's your looking at, I think they will also work, but call to see! you running a scope and how are they being mounted?
AKAI
Those look nice, but was looking at the diamond head sights because they supposedly speed up target acquisition and make it eaiser to line up in general. Right now I'm not running a scope so folding sights aren't a must, I just don't like the stock AR sights and like I said Ive read good things about these.
If you have a railed forend, you'll be able to use both the front and rear sight. Simply place the front sight as far forward on the forend rail as possible. You're going to lose an inch or two of sight radius, but it's up to you to determine if that's an acceptable compromise. If you have round handguards and a railed gas block, you won't be able to use the front sight, since the gas block sits lower than the rail on the upper receiver and it disturbs the sight plane. MI and GG&G make AR10-specific front sights that are of very good quality. You might want to check them out.
Ya, I have the round grips, and I know the gas block is lower, the sights I linked are supposed to compensating for a low gas block, I guess a better question would be; are "lower gas blocks" all the same or are they specific to the ruffled type/ manufacturer.
The distance from the top of the gas block to the top of the receiver rail for an AR10 is .393 inches. On an AR15, it's .293 inches. After looking at their website, my thought is the Diamond Head sights are designed with an AR15 in mind.
You might want to call or email Diamond Head and check with them.
Correct Leb Sometimes I don't give enough info I'll try to to better  as you know I have the low profile scope mount from Armalite and wanted to install BUIS and didn't find the options I was looking for, so I'm in the process of building my own! just wondering where you got the info on the gas block heights? I measured mine and went with the .400 differance! that's what the micrometer said. These sites being the one's from MWI same plane and building my own 45 deg. mounts. Just about finished and will post pix and how they work when complete, so far looks good, sited them with a laser at 50 yards and everything is looking great! Reasons for doing this is if I ever need the BUIS I don't really want to dismount the scope and lose it :S and I am still old school, like shooting with the iron now I guess I'll have to learn to tilt the rife a little :pinch: Once again thanx Lebb didn't know there was a differance in the gas block fron the 10 to 15 guess everyone has to make a buck  I am surprised that more people haven't run into this ame problem, guess it just depends on shooting preferance  maybe I should look into a adaptoer so the 15" would work on the 10's ah here goes another project.

Armalite website. Look at AR10 models w/railed gas block. And then look at M15 models with railed gas block. Armalite gives the deminsions in the tech specs for each.
Good luck with your build. Throw some pics up when it's done. Cuz if gun porn's wrong, I don't want to be right.
