This is my little gun I can carry.... I'm not big on 9's... But it's beautifully made and packs away well........

And here is my big gun I take in the field..... Mod 29.... I've had it since 1972.... Been from here to Alaska... Carried it a lot in the bush.... I put a small hammer and trigger.. Ground the trigger down and i did an action job on it...... I do all my Smiths myself........

Well, I used a Rock Island Armory high capacity frame as the base for it. It was the only steel high capacity frame I could find, and one of the few that was not cut for a ramped barrel.
The grip safety, mainspring housing, and hammer came from Sarco. Getting the wide spur hammer and wide grip safety to work together was a bit of a chore, but I love the way it looks.
The long slide, six inch barrel (.45 ACP), and sights were obtained from Fusion Arms. They also carry a plunger that allows for the use of a regular recoil spring. It works fine with a regular length guide rod. The bushing is GI National Match.
When I do might part correctly, bullets hit exactly where I want them to.
