I recently got rid of my Taurus 24/7 .40S&W for a much needed upgrade to the Sig Sauer P250 Subcompact. Its a great conceal and carry weapon but it will not feed the Hornady Critical Defense Ammo AT ALL! I could describe exactly what is going on but I made a quick video to show you all. An suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would LOVE to run this ammo for CCW.

Let me know what you think???

Are the cartridge lengths different between Winchester and the Hornady ammo? If not, a guess would be a problem with the bullet shape and the Sig feed ramp design. I know you have figured this out already most likely. The Hornady is a brass case?

They differ by about .005" they are very close to each other in overall dimensions.

I'm not familiar with the feed ramp on the Sig but the Critical Defense won't feed in my 1911 (STI Spartan 45ACP) and I've seen comments on the 1911 forum that go both ways regarding FTF. It does appear to be feed ramp related most often. I did find that the Barnes solid copper HP works fine in my 1911. It has very good terminal ballistics as well.

Critical Defense feeds all day in a Glock 40cal I own.

I tried several different mfg HP in all my platforms to make sure I know what is reliable.

I'll second the Barnes solid copper. No issues feeding (STI tactical 4.0 45acp). I run the 185+p. Only complaint I have heard about it is the cost.

Gotta be baked beans and cole slaw. My Sig has a very steep feed ramp. I have had no problems so far, but I use pretty generic hollow points (Remington Golden Sabres)
