Here's a picture of my AR-10 Custom from G.A. Precision. George Gardner did his usual fantastic job. Yes, Virginia, it shoots like a bolt gun...
Forearm is Knight's Armament
Barrel is a 20" Schneider with a 1:12" twist.
Caliber .308 Winch (although I realize that some sick puppies chamber them in other calibers...
Scope mount is from LaRue Tactical with QD features and return to zero. I can remove the scope and replace it with my E.O. Tech unit for CQB stuff, if needed. That is if I were inclined to kick in doors carrying a 12 pound rifle...NOT!!!

Yes that's a bull barrel and it mic's .750" behind the flash suppressor.
I live in Salem, OR our The state's capital. A lot of open land in the valley, but it's getting populated so you need to be careful. To the west we have the pacific northwest rain forest and east side the cascade mountains. A lot of rugged territory, to say the least.
I belong to two clubs, one has a 600 yard KD range that's great to have train on.
Glad to be part of the forum.
Wes
P.S. I have far better weapans for use in an urban environment...
Nice weapon Wes! I may have George build me a complete rifle or at least a upper after the first of the year, but then there is Noveske's N6 to consider too...
Decisions, decisions, lol.
wow i wish we had something like that here in Indiana. that would give me something to do and somewhere to go. all we have are 100 and 200 yard ranges.
I like the G.A. Precision AR-10 VERY much. Incredible shooting machine. Now IF I could just get the loose nut behind the butt plate to do his part...
Hesitated about the VLTOR adjustable stock, but it's worked very well for me.
Don't hesitate to have George build a rifle...of any type. This was my first gas gun from George. The the other was a custom .338 Lapua.
As for ranges, there is a 1K range at Douglas Ridge (1.5 hr drive), a private range is about 45 minutes south west, and there is a 600 yard range about 45 minutes to the north west, as well.
Both 600 yard ranges have military style butts.
Try not to hate me.
