This piece started out as a 16" carbine.
I had a driving need to put on a 20" barrel.
Decided to stay with the collapsible stock.
New barrel , Armalite two piece Quad Rail, Harris Bi-Pod, Mako Butt Pad w/ Mono-Pod and a Redfield 3-9x50mm hunting scope.
Redfield because, it is a quality entry level American made glass.

I bought a Redfield 3X9 about 100 years ago. It was a good scope. It started out on my HK-91, and sometime in the late '80s I lost track of it. It may have wound up on a Win M70 that got sold. I hope not, because that would make me feel really stupid.
Thanks,
That is an M-60 flash hider.
Not the DPMS version but a surplus GI piece.
Same threading.
Had to put a 5/16" long 5/8x24tpi thread protector to take up the excess barrel threads on the end.
Hey Bob, please give me a review on the Redfield. It's funny...back in the day Redfield was top notch...and Bushnell was mediocre...how a times change.
I am with you though...Redfield went through a big change a few years ago.
Been really considering them on a few of my other firearms. Don't get me wrong...the Mark AR, M-233 have taken precedence for my varmint AR that I built...and my Nikon for the "10" on the Lothar upper...but could still use the Redfield for a few other applications.
