There are two excellent articles written by Scott Powers. One is on Sniper Scope Selection and the other is on selecting mounts/rings and why you may or may not need a tapered mount for your uses.

This and many other topics are discussed in the Sniper Country Forum. Articles are penned by a number of experts who have "been there/done that".

Optics articles from Scott and Paul Coburn ('Lito) are excellent.

The Sniper Country crew are great guys and will assist you in any way they can. They DO have a very low tolerance for B.S. artists.
