You could pick up a used Leupold Mark 4 for the nearly the same price as a new Vortex PST and have yourself a real take-to-war scope with a lifetime warranty with a USA company.
FWIW - My center fire rifles are now equipped with either Leupold (FX-2, VX-3, MK-4) or SWFA SS. It did not start out that way. I learned the hard way that cheap optics suck.
One thought if you need to save money on a scope. Less features with a good scope brand beats more features with a cheaper brand. That's why my 30-30 lever gun wears a fixed 6X Leupold VX II. Simple and reliable.
I do not know much about the two scopes that were reviewed by the OP. But I can say that anyone who takes the time to post such a detailed review is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
