Is anyone using a brass catcher that works on the ar10 and ar15 flat tops?

I knew a fellow that had one on his Super SASS. Been thinking to get one myself. If I see him I'll ask where he got it.

Have you tried E&L Manufacturing? I have one for my AR-15. It works pretty good, only holds 60rds. They advertise a new catcher for flattop ARs.I'm going to order one for my AR-10.H TH.

Some options

www.thecountryshed.com/ar-15_brass_catchers.htm

I'm seriously looking at this brass catcher for a couple of reasons.

1. It folds flush with the rifle and will fit in my pelican case.

2. It is flexible and allows me to get to the ejection port if needed.

3. I can see the ejection port should a cartrige hang up.

4. Cost.

Just some thoughts.

I have the mesh brass catcher. I just leave the bottom unzipped so the cases wind up on the bench.

Moby, that last link you posted gave me a killer idea.
That one is just a scope ring, some kydex, and a little fabric. I'm feeling a DIY coming on.

I noticed the scope ring.
Looks like an easy thing to make.
But theirs is only $80.

I like that it folds flat to my rifle to fit in the case.
Those brackets might be tougher. But if you can find an old
babay stroller with a fold down cover it might have those brackets.

I've been using this Tactical Brass Recovery bag successfully for a couple of years now. Got one of their prototypes when he was just designing them. It's a great bag. You don't have to take it off to put the rifle in a gun case, rifle rack, etc. because it folds flat. You don't have to remove it to clear a jam, etc., etc.

I had to modify the AR-10T free float hand guard though. The AR-10T doesn't have a Picatinny mounting point on the right side near the ejection port. The slots are all cut too far forward. So, I had to take the hand guard to a milling shop to have a slot cut in the rear side of the hand guard so I could attach a Picatinny rail. It works great. I originally attached a Picatinny rail using black hose clamps which worked well, but wasn't the look I wanted. I posted pictures of the hose clamp attachment on this site a while back. I didn't want to purchase one of those multi-Picatinny hand guards since they cut your hands unless you buy covers for all the Picatinny rails and aren't as comfortable even with covers to hold as the standard AR-10T hand guard IMHO.
