I've had good luck with both Sierra Match Kings and Hornady BTHP. Both brands are very consistent round to round. If it's an issue, the Hornady 168 is a bit less expensive than the Sierra.

Well as the owner of a A4 CB...I have tried a few kinds....but depending on "what's in your wallet"....

I personally go with the following...168gr.
#1....Hornady TAP
#2....Hornady A-Max
#3....Hornady BTHP
#4....Ultra Max, BTHPs...for plinking and the brass....
Did I mention I like Hornady....
I also use the Federal Power shock...150 Gr. SP...just for Zombies and Milk Jugs..and like to reload the brass....
If Your Rifle is NEW...then, my advice, is to follow the Factory Match Break in to the letter...and you will get good accuracy out to a couple hundred yards...
It is like seasoning a Cast Iron Skillet....done right...you cook anything and make it taste Good...Barrels are the Same in my Humble Opinion...

OOPS...bullets...Oh...OK...Hornady A max or BTHP...sorry my bad...got Excited..

I have been using the Western Powders "TAC" powder with great results. The powder developed and tested for the Military Carbines in the .223 and also the .308 calibers.
Besides being a "Hometown" company they are great people to stop in and visit with. :P That Keith is an excellent Gunsmith and has done some work for Me.Last project I did was a 03A3 30-06 into a .375 Ruger.
