No it wasn't bagged at all. I was resting the forend on a rolled up towel. No rest was used for the rear. This is a hunting rifle with a short barrel. I feel like if I can get 1.5 moa out of 9 shots, from that kind of rest then I am good with it. I was just really surprised how spread out the other groups were with the different loads.
Trying out some new IMR4166 with 150sp & 165 gameking bthp. Passed initial pressure/ejection tests and I'll be working on accuracy soon. Not much in the way of literature on it so it will be a slow process.
This is a new IMR Enduron powder 4166. Has copper fouling eraser in its formulation. Waiting on bases to get in for mounting scope. Will post updates soon.
I used the CCI200,IMR4166 43.8gr, COL 2.75", 165gr Sierra BTHP gamekings. Pressure on primers still good but I could tell not much more could be added even though Hogdon says max44.9gr. for 165's. Ejections were basically 3 o'clock. Brother grabbed one and shot through his 308 Rem 700 and bullseyed just like mine. Pigs are going down with this load!
