No problem NF
Case(s) Lake City Also Winchester M80 kept them separate.
Bullet: Sierra Match King Boat Tailed Hollow point 175 gr
Bullet: Sierra Match King Boat Tailed Hollow Point 168gr
Powder charge( both) 42 gr.
Powder: Reloader 15 Alliant
Primer: Winchester large rifle
COL-(all) 2.80

On the 175's flattened primer was more pronounced on the M80 brass than the Lake City.

Sisco,

Here is the results after imputing the information you listed. The 168 shows no signs of high pressure. When I substitute the heavier 175 tip with the same load, the chamber pressure creeps into the "caution" area....

Night Force thank you that is a big help. Based on that I think I will pull the bullets, go down to 41 grains and try that. Could you by chance run that again with a powder load of 41 grs of RE15? That would be a big help. Thanks again.

Of course. I'll rerun the program using 41 grains with both bullets...

Night Force, you da Man! :twothumbs:
41 gr looks to be right where I want to be for the 175's. I am leaving the 168's alone.. Thanks again, will report, hopefully in the near future. Need to spend a night pulling 48 bullets!

When you say "factory m118lr", is that the same thing as LCAAP "xm118lr" 175gr? I ask because those velocity numbers seem way higher than I was getting out of my ar10t 20" which averaged 2585 (20ft front of muzzle).

That was what I meant. And yes it was distubingly high. I am going to go online and see what it should be. The other thoght is that the conditions were skewing the chronograph readings, as I did get a lot of "err" messages.

Without getting out the book, 2750 fps seems to come to mind.
Those are some nice groups considering what You were dealing with.
