Besides nut shells and corn cob, what other media do you use?

What polishes do you use?

Just cobbs and shells for media. I have some fancy ceramic stuff but that is for Hbn coating bullets, If I ever get around to it.
I've used Nu-finish wax but didn't notice much difference until I used enough to give the cases a somewhat greasy feel, too much for me. I'm not going for shine, just clean. In that regard I add some strips of paper towel soaked in mineral spirits(odorless is best for inside work, or so my wife tells me), this catches a bunch of the finer dust.
I don't know if it is just the brand or not but the cobb stuff seems to be less dusty.

I use corn cob media and brasso. I add a cut up dryer anti static sheet to the mix to catch up the dust. Adding the dryer sheet seems to extend the life of the media. Brass comes out nice and shiny.

I recommend people study a little on what chemicals are used in those dryer sheets, I stopped using them myself. Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't trust the government to safeguard my health and I sure don't trust the chemical companies. :twocents:

Not the most unbiased source but very similar view to what I found when I researched it in the past, I didn't save that link......

No polishes, Frankford Arsenal who made my tumbler advise against it.

Walnut shell hulls pulverized: pet shops sell it as reptile beeding. A ten pound bag is around $6.

Whoa! The fabric softener sheets info is awesome! Thanks!

The shop towels and mineral spirits don't grab as much dust as dryer sheets but is a touch safer in my book, just a touch though, plenty of VOC's there as well!

I use corn cob media that's been saturated with rouge, a mild polishing agent. Works like a champ.
