Hey bro, I can send you some IMR 4895. Just pay shipping and what I payed for the can. Or I can throw you some leads on some folks I know are holding. HaHa, "Holding", takes me back.

What powders do have available in your AO. .308 is real flexible and there are plenty of powders that'll give good to great results.

And remember - a good load is one that your rifle "likes." Load development is as much a dark art as it is hard science.

They have a bunch of H380 but it's not listed for .308 at data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

While not listed for .308 by Hodgdon, both Sierra and Lyman list H380 as suitable for .308.

For 150-168gr bullets, Sierra recommends a starting charge of 45 grains with a max charge of 49 gr. and a case overall length of 2.8". Sierra also recommends using magnum primers with H380 because of it's slower burn rate.

Normal Large Rifle primers can be used. But the muzzle velocity will be a little slower than with the use of Magnum Large Rifle Primers.
