Just asking to take a Poll..of sorts...
Lately I have been casting my vote on every reputable web site that has Pro Gun Positions...as well as ones sent to my State Officials...and the Government...
Just asking...are you doing your Part... :usa:

I'm concentrating on the people that will write the laws and cast the votes. From my city councilman to the president, all my elected officials know where I stand and what I expect of them. Those that don't, didn't read.
I have even used snail mail  (gasp). I have called, emailed, and contacted everyone I could think of. I actually converted a couple of anti-gun people. It warmed the cockles of my heart. If we just convert them one at a time some people will actually listen to facts. :twothumbs:
Had an engineer at work sit down and talk to me about why I have guns. He brought out the old "well do you think people should be allowed to have nuclear weapons?" I said no the consequences and risk are too high. What am I going to do if someone tries to carjack me? Set off my nuclear suitcase. No the cost-benefit is too high. Even the costs-benefits of an RPG are too high. If you set off a nuclear bomb accidentally well there goes the state. If I accidentally set off my pistol I might ruin a wall, floor or couch. Maybe at very worst shoot someone. But I am not going to kill thousands of people with my .45 ACP. The advantages outweigh the risk with firearms they clearly don't with nuclear weapons or even bombs or RPG's.
He thought for a minute and said ...I think you just sold me.
I dealt with the same argument from a student that tried to equate a nuke to an AR15. I had to explain in very child like terms how a person with a firearm can discriminate what they choose to shoot, a nuclear explosion can not. The difference between head phones and huge speakers, they can both ruin your hearing, but only one of them ticks off your neighbors. It must have sunk in because he dropped the discussion and fell to limp personal insults. Still don't get why they do that.
