Please be mindful that there are many different views on the forums. The only thing we all agree on is the AR-10 is an awesome rifle!

America is arming up and so is the government.

I read many articles about gun stores being out of everything. I read a lot of articles about the governments various agencies arming up. Although I question some of the sources. I’m skeptical of Infowars.com and like sites. Recently helicopters were drilling over Miami firing blanks. Now this happens annually usually for reservists to train for action in other countries. So it doesn’t bother me. And they do train with local LE. This is done every year.

So for this thread. Can members try and seek sources as reliable as possible concerning the preparation for civil unrest?
And remember this is the absolute worst thing that could happen in America. Americans against Americans would be disastrous. I don’t mean to sound like a nut job. But just looking for the inpout from others on what they think.

I see zero evidence of this, and I would know. Deep breathes. I f you look at this from a problem solving standpoint the solution is nothing radical. Get out and vote, run for office and carry on. Our side of the issue has way more political clout than either side knows. I am sure that supporting anything that bans something or takes it away right now is political suicide. After the last ban it was almost comical at the next election watching the entrenched political figures fall like grass before a Lawnboy. Same thing will happen again if needed. But I see signs that some are savy to this and are resisting there party line. Proud to be among you all.

As I think about this thread and others in the same political area I have to ask myself is there really zero evidence of possible civil unrest. I'd have to agree at this point there is no "civil unrest".

But Americans are arming up at alarming rates as this administration seeks gun control. That in and of itself does not seem unusual as each time the left makes a move to control guns everyone buys more. I did myself.

Then there is the massive purchase by several government agencies buying a combined 1.4 billion rounds of hollow points. This in and of it self may not be cause for concern either as the government buys in bulk for range work and normal federal duties. Although DHS did purchase a lot of ammo. I have a family member high up in DHS and doubt there is any concern there.

Americans are being pushed by the EPA, IRS, Obamacare taxation, pushed on religion, pushed on gun rights, in fact pushed in a lot of areas at once. I agree we are not to the line in the sand. In fact i do not know if we can even see that line yet. We all better hope that never happens. But many Generals are being relived of command.

Add the comments from the "Would you fire on Americans" thread and it sure makes one think a bit.

From OlCowboy
I am EXTREMELY worried about what I am seeing especially in light of a CiC who has publicly stated he will build a civilian Ärmy' as well equipped as our US Army and it is happening. Now add in the assualt on the 2nd Amendment and our Right to Keep and Bear Arms...

Kent State, Waco, Tx, Ruby Ridge, New Orleans (Katrina) shows that the FBI, National Guard, ATF and just about all law enforcement agencies from your local police to the cop will indeed fire upon and murder US citizens, confiscate their guns and beat the hell out of a woman so old and frail that she posed a threat to no one, if you watched the video I linked to the other day 2 armed law enforcement officers ATTACKED her, a woman clearly into her 70's if not 80's. 2 Cops, wearing bullet proof vests and more heavily armed than I ever was in combat as an Infantry soldier.

5) In the case of the military, they take orders and are told not only what to do but told that these people pose a threat to safety, public, the US and who knows what else. So certainly being told that and believing they would generally take action. Albeit there are I am sure a lot that would not.

6) Which now brings us to the hidden point of the e mail. Which is why is Obama getting rid of so many Generals? In my military mind what I hope to believe is that the ones he fired they just had had enough of a growing dictator, ignoring Congress, making rules and laws by fiat and EO. I doubt any discussion took place but rather it was clear to Obama that he needed to insure that his Generals were every bit the sycophants that the rest of his followers are. Clearly in the event this 2nd amendment thing gets out of control he will call in the military to contain it and his Generals better be 101% inline with and obey without question, the orders of our new King.

Trust me, I have know a LOT of Generals and they are not all conservatives, in fact some are so far to the left its shocking…

Gives me the willies but I remember waco and ruby ridge, and am glad I live in south texas

I find the simple fact that people are even TALKING like this and about such things quite disconcerting to say the least.

We all see our country moving in SO many bad directions and yet, politicians are just smiling and waving and acting like it's just a little glitch and then whoosh, we slide some more....

It's like we are all watching an accident - when everything flips to slow motion and no matter what you do, you can't seem to change anything and you are locked in and just waiting for what you just KNOW is gonna hurt like hell.

So is there evidence? ...........I guess not directly. But it sure seems folks are talking about it.

Just sayin.

I am sorry gentlemen I do not share your optimism.

I got introduced to politics back in 50's when Ike was running for office. Turns out Ike is a close relative of our and my father knew him also from the military in WWII. While I had an interest I was too young to form opinion and until I stepped off a plane in SEATAC Airport on a cold, windy, raining night in Nov of '68 I did not know a conservative from a liberal...and for the first time in my life I stared liberals in the face...that was the impetus for me to find out why ME, just some Cowboy from a ranch in E Texas who was drafted by LBJ and now suddenly the WAR WAS MY FAULT. Talk about a WTF moment in life????? Add to that stepping onto a college campus a few months later.

As a military career my life was run by politicians. I remember WELL when the stopped the bombing in N Vietnam, while at the time I did not think in political terms, he sure as hell caused a increase in combat.

What I see is the most corrupt and secrecy administration I have seen in my life. A trampling of the Constitution by a narcissistic ego driven, radical muslim who is not an American by any standard of the definition...and I do not care if he was born on the steps of the White House. His political outlook is derived from Marxism, his economic views are based upon the Central Planning model of Socialism and his implementation is right off the pages of Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals, and as my mother told me many times 'see your friends, see you'...he has surrounded himself with some of the most radical, corrupt people one could find, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Bernadine Dohm, George Soros and the list of communist marxist socialists is as long as a NYC phone book. He is a racist who bears a hatred for America. We know more about G Washington than we do him in fact we know less about our current President than any of the 40 plus before him. His records and life is sealed.

He lacks any leadership, any job experience and in further over his head that any POTUS in history. This man will say anything, he has a life built upon lies and that is how he governs. Given a crises in American of which I FIRMLY believe he is planning he will become our first dictator (sidebar: there are about 45 current dictators in the world today, most were elected and most gave themselves the title of PRESIDENT).

Whitehouse.gov: According to the budget on the site, our nat debt will approach $23 TRILLION at the end of his term, that is about $200,000 per man, woman and child in the US. Impossible to payback and will result in the collapse of our economy... In spite of the fact that the US is rapidly becoming the top producer of Nat Gas and oil, anyone here noticing the price of gas and diesel is at near $4 per gallon? Wonder why? I know and if you believe the WH crap about Big Oil you need to wake up! Oil is a global commodity and its price is based upon the US DOLLAR. The price is pegged to West Texas intermediate Sweet crude, the other is on Canadian and its not a sweet crude (yes its does taste sweet). Our govt is spewing about $4 BILLION in cash into our economy every single day, our dollar is becoming worthless.

Iran will have a nuke this year and most likely will begin testing the following year, N Korea has a nuke, has tested it and is now testing long range missile system, currently they can reach Hawaii.

The Middle East is in the worst shape than in all the years I have studied it and we saw it coming and were preparing for it back in the 70's. Our muslim prez is sending F 16's, tanks and Billions to the Muslim Brotherhood, we can expect for them to be used against us.

Houston, we have a problem!

Truly never beleived that I would be responding/contributing to this thread, but here it is. They are running up and stomping right next to where I drew my line in the sand. If Janet Reno had this White Paper at her disposal the Branch Davidians would have been taken out with a drone strike
