I was told that if you install a Sig brace on an AR pistol, you don't have to register it as a SBR. Is that correct, sounds fishy to me. I thought any gun that has a barrel under 14 inches has to have a pinned flash hider or be classified as SBR. I want my next build to ba a pistol but the wait for the stamp is a turn off.

It's true, this here is a pistol, not an SBR! Sig sends a letter statsing ATF approval as a pistol with each "brace".
