The Armalite Super SASS system is for rifles with supressors. It has two positions, normal and suppressed. It requires drilling out the gas port in the barrel. You would need to thread the barrel for the supressor, open the port (drill into the barrel) and shorten the gas tube by 2" for your shortened barrel. That would put the port the same distance from the muzzle to give the right impulse length, but the pressure would be higher. It is possible to drill and tap a hole in the sight base and use a setscrew and lock nut to convert to an adjustable system which is what you probably want. I don't know of a kit for the AR-10, and don't know of a gunsmith that does this modification. I have a Super SASS gas kit here, but chose not to modify the barrel and possibly reduce the accuracy.
I have two AR-10s here, both started as 10Ts, one 24" and one 20', upgraded with quad rails, PRS buttstocks, both with forward assist, maglite and bipod.
