I joined to see if there were any opinions about what to replace my gen 3 springfield 4-14x56 scope with. I plan to use my 10t for both hunting and rec/target shooting.

Are you looking for something comparable to what you had before? did you like the magnification range of your springfield?

What are your reasons for replacing your old scope?

A price range would be good here as well, if you have no price range then i say go all out with a Trijicon ACOG. ;)

I have only used the low line of there ACOGs and it was better then most top line stuff i have used.

An ACOG is nice. They're tough, reliable scopes. But you're not going to be able to take advantage of everything the AR10T has to offer with it.

Price no object, I'd look at Schmitt & Bender, US Optics or Nightforce scopes in a similar mag range to what you have now. I'd also consider some of the smaller European makers like Zeiss and Swarovski, too.

$1000-2000: Leupold and Super Sniper make good scopes at this price point.

Less than $1000: Vortex and Burris.

Less than $500: Weaver Tactical Series, Nikon
