Hey everyone looking into bipods and what I see online I'm thinking of a harris bipod what are your thoughts on them or what do you think are the better ones.I got a ar 10 carbine
Harris is pretty much the standard for bi-pods. I've got a few on my ARs and hunting rigs. No issues with any of them. On non-FF barrels, you may get a POI shift because of the pressure exerted by the weight of the bipod.
thanks again guys i have noticed that a lot of my questions been answered by the same 2 or 3 people so thanks for taking the time hopefully someday i can pass on the knowledge to someone who is new to this in a couple of years thanks you to everyone that answers I cant say thanks enough
I am also a fan of Harris Bipods. Especially the ones with the swivel. I have them on most of my rifles... except my AR-10 SASS. I find that the heavier the firearm, the harder it is to pan around on a spring-loaded legged bipod like the Harris. The legs are not locked so they will snap close on me.
I ended up with the Atlas Bipod. It is rock solid yet allows me pan and tilt when needed. The legs can be locked in 5 different positions, including forward. It's also silent when deploying the legs. It's a $200 bipod, but seems to be worth every penny and more.
