I wish to post a question to begin my journey on building my first AR-10. My guess is that the proper place to post it would be in the AR-10 Discussion group, but none of those categories appear for me to select. I'm confused! It's OK, this is a normal state for me.
Desiring to ask for advice and opinions on the Fulton Armory AR-10 side-cocking upper, where should I post? I wish to learn things like who makes it, alternatives, limitations, the standard stuff. I'm on my way to build my first Creedmoor and assume (ha!) that the upper is a good place to start!
Hello OldBear and greetings from Eastern Montaneee, always good to see newcomers registering and enjoying the knowledge and wisdom of this site.
A Creedmore,as in Sharps???? i have an original Sharps Buffalo rifle, conversion by the Sharps Armory from a Military Carbine to a Buffalo Rifle. The barrel is a thirty incher in length and it is a inch and a quarter acrost the flats, weighs upwards of seventeen pounds,it does have just a couple of faults, like, both triggers is busted, hammers is missing, firing pin is busted and the bore is rusticated very badley.LOLOH Yeah,I almost forgut,it is a fourty cal,2 & 5/8ths,if I rememer right,a bottle neck cartridge cause the bufloes was getting scarce and the shot ranges was getting longer.
I know not one thing about them Fulton Armory rifles but I am sure someone in here must know something about them and I am real surprised that no one has responded, not even a Heloooo so this is a "BUMP" so`s to see if it`ll get some response.
Back on the Sharps for just a secont,I was going to send the rifle over to King Machine in Kyla Montana and have them bore and sleeve the barrel then chamber ream it back to the fourty ninety, they told Me I would be wize to not do anything to that rifle as the way it sets it would be worth between one and five theousand bucks,it sets in the corner of the vault now.
We used to have a category but i guess we didn't have to many posts in it...so...that is if I remember right....might be wrong...
As to your question...I believe, if not mistaken, Fulton is a Top End DPMS....
though it is a separate company...they use DPMS parts....at last I knew...there is a user on the board that goes by dpmsfulton...he would be the one to contact to answer your inquiries on the particulars....as far as posting the questions...I guess just go under 10MOA....and go from there....
Welcome to the site and I hope we can assist you in your journey...
