new guy looking for .308 platform info was created by Magellan80
New guy here. I've been researching .308 platforms for a while and I'm looking for some info/opinions on various models. I've been considering a DPMS SASS but have recently read lots of good info on the AR-10T model. I'm looking forward to getting into some target shooting out beyond 200/300 yards and up to 800/1000. I'm looking forward to researching this site and hearing opinions...

You are on a site that focuses on the Armalite product line so please recognize that we are a biased group - but that said I think the AR-10T is an excellent rifle. If I did not own a customized AR-10 and I was looking for my first 308 AR platform rifle I think this is a great rifle:

Thanks Silver78. It is a great looking rifle. Unfortunately, the more research I do the more I see that I like haha. I haven't looked at Armalite in the past (for my 5.56 rifles) but I feel myself becoming attracted to them. Maybe I'll just get the AR10T, Super Sass and AR10NM ;). I guess I'm just going to have to decide how much $ i want to spend and make a decision from there...
