I am a new member here and would like to say hello. I just sold my Armalite M15A2 NM to fund my AR10T purchase. After a long and drawn out look at all the models and manufacturers out there I decided to stick with what has worked for me in the past and that would be Armalite. I have some specific requirements that I feel best suites the way I intend to use this rifle and the AR10T comes as close to what I want right out of the box.
I would be interested in any tune up tricks that folks have- other than swapping out major components, this is why I am getting the AR10T to start with.
I think you'll be glad for your choise of the 10T ,i got a new one a while back and have enjoyed it 100%. As for tricks...pay close attention to the barrel break-in , mabee even stretch it out a few more rounds between changes. They say the trigger will "break in" in 200-300 rounds , i could tell a good bit of difference after this. I sped up the trigger break-in by taking the upper off and dry firing BY HOLDING MY GLOVED HAND OVER THE HAMMER TO STOP IT !!!!
DO NOT LET IT HIT THE FRAME !!! I did this for probabbly several hundred times and could tell the differance. Keep it oiled and clean and don't change anything until you have it well broken in .Just Grinn-n-shoot it! kw
