I'm an older feller, first gun was a 1917 Enfield 30-06 that I bought when I was 12 years old. In the Army from 1969 to 1972. I like all sorts of firearms and have a Armalite AR-10 that I bought about 10 years ago. Also have a Colt A-15 target barrel. I'm more old school in that I don't buy all the modern telescoping stocks and checks.
Anyway, I joined this site to learn a little more about my AR-10.
Which AR-10 do you have? What barrel, twist rate, trigger, etc. does it have. What have you found to be the best ammo for it, manufactured, reloads?

I have the A2 with green furniture, no scope, converted M1/14 magazine.
While I have had it for 10 years, I haven't put more than 100 rounds through it. Right now I am having a FTE problem with it and haven't determined the cause yet. Using military surplus ammo, the converted mag so I don't know if either of those are the issue, or if has other problems.
I'll probably pull it apart this weekend and see what I can see. I have been reading the tech bulletins on the manufacturer's site and it gives me a number of items to start with.
Also considering the Gen II magazines, not sure I need to do this yet.

There have been quite a few threads here stating the AR-10 is very finicky about which magazines it will accept. Almost everyone solved their feed and ejection problems by changing to the Gen II magazines.
