Hello!! New to the site and AR10's. I have been looking around,Very nice site and very knowledgeable folks on here. Just curious if anyone has tried the above mentioned scope? I talked with Zeiss and they said from the 400 yard mark on its dead on, but from 100-300 its not quiet spot on. Just wanted to see if anyone has used it and what they thought. I want to use the rifle for hunting and want to get into long range shooting as well. Its chambered in .260 Remington. Thanks

Sorry, but all I know about Zeiss is that they make fine scopes. I do have a 260 AR10 and love it ! Shoots those extremely long 140s into tiny bug holes. Haven't gotten around to the lighter 120s yet, have you? I shoot H4831SC and the sweet spot is around 2750fps with about 45.3gr.Hope you get your answer !

Thanks for the info. I just ordered my .260 and have gotten it yet and I am offshore so it will be next week before I get to fire it. I went ahead and purchased a Vortex Viper 6-20 x 44. I figure I will get proficient with it before I jump to a NF or Zeiss. With everything I have read on the .260, it seems like the 140's are the way to go...I bought a couple of boxes of the remington core lokt 140's to play with to see how they do. I plan on using them for hunting. Depending on how the results turn out, I may switch to the 120's. Should know next week. If you do shoot them before I do, please let me know what you think. Again, thanks for the reply and I look forward to talking more with you on the forum for sure.

Take the Rem. corelokts back to the store ! Didn't shoot worth a hoot in my 260. The very best ammo is Dakota/CorBon. In particular, the 139 gr. Scenar bullet at 2750fps. I think they advertize it as a match, high velocity load. Ain't cheap but it's fantastically accurate and the Lapua Scenar bullet is devastating on deer and pigs. You an find it at www.corbon.com

Oh really? Well I will probably keep the ammo for a "just in case" but I have been looking at other ammo as well. I found a place that will custom make ammo to your specs in Dallas. Here is the link: www.dallasreloads.com

Have you ever heard of them or used them? I found them thru the forums on Snipers hide. Looks like he will make a custom load to your liking.
