Hello I was looking at buying parts for my Ar 10 build this morning. I was looking to buy the hand guard today. I see dpms has some marked 308. There wasn't a big selection. My questions is can i use a hand guard for an AR 15? Thank you for ray help you can give me.

Well welcome to the site first off...
Second..there are some available, but it is going to depend on what you want to spend.....
Third...not really on the 15 for the 10...they won't match up right...
Be SMART, and buy the RIGHT tool for the JOB....
A free float is going to cost major bucks..depending again on what brand you go with...
So my question to answer YOUR question is what do you want to spend..
MI has a "Drop In" hand guard which is very nice for a reasonable price...
As for Free Float..being I have personal issues with them..But LaRue is about the best one on the market for the AR-10...at least I think..
So again...what is in your wallet and what do you want...FF or DI...

im looking for a free float hand guard. Im trying to get my ar 10 to look just like the Dpms panther sass. I just didnt really like that hand guard. YHM Yankee hill machine co. has lightweight free float i like but dont see if they make for the 308. My budget for the hand guard is $200.
Ok...I was under the impression you wanted a "Railed" Free Float...
I was going to say that about the best cost is the one ArmaLite Offers...but if it a tube you want...that changes things abit...

You would have to check with ArmaLite...
Being a Fulton...basically a DPMS...that is what you need to look for, for a fit..."Properly"...
Call them and see what they have to say...about who and what will fit the upper..
We have a member here...DPMSFULTON...who may be able to help...send him a note...
and ask...
On another note...you may want to refer to your rifle accordingly to get the popper info...when you say AR-10..most think of Armalite...Not getting on you...just a little helpful Advice... for future reference...it will make things much easier for you and all...
On the cost...it is going to be hard to find a "decent" free float "railed" hand guard with the price you stated..you may want to save a bit to get a "really good one"...
Again...just a bit of advice...
As the old term goes...Buy Once...Cry Once..
Anyway...hope it helps...
