Okay everyone, I'm looking for opinions on the best way to break in my new 26" Wilson Bull Barrel. 1.25" to the gas block and .975 from gas block to the muzzle. Its a RH 6 groove 1/10 twist. I have some 150 grain federal and 210 grain lake city match ammo to shoot for the break-in and then I'll hand load my rounds after that.

Take it out and shoot it. Then, take it home and clean it. I find it hard to believe in extended shooting and cleaning after every couple of shots.

Being I am NO expert by no means....and not overly familiar with that particular barrel...this is just my OPINION...and they are like " holes" everyone has one...
If you want "Match" grade performance...I would follow what ever the manufacturer suggests....
Breaking in a barrel is another of those Heated topics...so it is "to each their own".
I personally treat it like a cast iron skillet....
It has to be "seasoned" with the right flavors....
The federal 150gr is a good plinking round in my "opinion" but not "match grade"
ammo....
The 210gr seems a bit heavy for the gun...OK for bolts but not to sure for an auto...
I would go with a "Match Grade" ammo like the Hornady 168 to 175... but then again...that is me...What does the company say for the barrel....
My AR-10 A4 C was broke in for 200 rounds following the ArmaLite Match Barrel break in....and I can shoot it all day and keep it with a inch or so round after round....I did the same thing with my M-15 A4 C...still breaking that one in...
This is just my "opinion" and I am no expert on this subject...or a comp shooter either...just a guy who believes in doing it right to get the most out of what he paid for....
Again....Just my Opinion. ;)
