Getting ready to build an AR10, 1 of a couple, and am considering the 14.5" Noveske barrel for it. Wanting to see if anyone has experience with the barrel, or 14.5" N6, how comfortable it is to shoot recoil and blast wise? Just want this rifle for any CQB type shooting, and maybe shoot for fun out to 250 or so. I'm between this and the 16" for this build. Have experience with 16" AR10's, and never thought the recoil was bad at all. Hopefully someone has shot the 14.5", maybe let me know what you thought of it, reccommend muzzle device, etc. As I mentioned, not trying to build a LR rifle, just something with some good up close dropping power, that isn't extremely annoying to shoot. Thanks.
I have made a couple with 14.5" barrels. They are great to shoot. I use a PRI break and you do not want to be standing beside it when it goes bang. It is not to bad on the shooter. Soda cans are an easy target at 300 yards if the wind keeps down.
Appreciate your response. This is the answer I was looking for, and figured it would wouldn't be bad at all to shoot. Was thinking of the Vortex or FSC 30, you have an opinion/experience on either of these for this barrel? Thanks again
