Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm not new to ARs but just found this site by accident. I've assembled an AR-10 from an Arero Precision lower w/Armalite lower parts kit and a U10A4BF upper (20" bbl., flattop upper, black plastic handguard), which has a Millett TRS-1 4-16 x 50 side focus scope. Haven't shot it yet, but whenever it stops raining around here I'll try it. My current project has the same components except for a .338 federal Armalite upper. I want a coastal Oregon jungle rifle for elk, and am open to suggestions for sights. Shots from 50 feet to maybe 150 yards. Anyone have experience with the .338 Fed.? I shoot a .378 Wby. and a .338 Rem RUM, so I'm not recoil or rifle weight shy.
