I am new to the 308AR world but I found a used DPMS rifle with standard A2 style stock FF rifle length hand guard removable carry handle and front sight for $999.00. I have not asked if they could work on the price until I asked you guys if it was worth the money. What do you guys think?

Not knowing the exact model it is hard to say. But a quick check on Gunbroker seems to say to me that it isn't a real good deal. Do your own search with the model, barrel legnth and other features. I think that you can get a new one for only a few dollars more.

I am not much on the DPMS but from what I have found, given you description...I would say not a bad deal...BUT...I have also learned in my years of making mistakes...that if you don't know the person or know the item...well "if it sounds to good to be true"...I think you know the rest.......what ever you buy...BUY IT NEW FROM A DEALER..then you have the warranty and all that goes with it...
A used rifle can be like a used car......
But this is all in my twisted mind so...:side: :dry: :lol: :whistle:
Something to think about....figure out what you want...in a rifle...and ORDER IT..
then you get just what you want...

Thanks BMS, I think I have talked myself out of buying it as it is not exactly what I want and would end up throwing more money into it to get it that way. Like you said I might as well just order what I want.
