I'm a new Armalite AR-10 A4BF owner in Northwest Louisiana. I just picked it up this morning at 9:30. Santa was supposed to bring it, but he had to wait for the check to clear.

I've been coveting AR-10s since the Portugese parts kits were offered back in the mid '80s, but never could scrape up all the parts to make a whole gun. Wish I'd picked up a couple of the kits anyway.
I decided to pull the trigger on the Armalite because my boy needs a deer gun, and neither one of us are big on taking a piece of rust prone furniture out in the wet drippy woods.
I'm about to post a bayonet lug question in the Armalite forum. If you have experience installing the lug give me a shout there.
HLZ's comment is not too far from the truth. I'm trying to get over the Y2K11 crash of ar10t.com this morning when my hosting company decided that my acct was no longer active!
Thankfully all is well now.
Welcome to the site and nice picture of your rifle.
You'll never deer hunt with anything else once you get used to your AR-10!
