DPMS Oracle was created by Snowman
Spent 20+ years in US ARMY Gulf War vet now retired. Never owned a AR 10 style rifle no stranger to AR'S though. Thinking hard about DPMS ORACLE everything I have read sounds good have not read about any complaints. Looked at Armalite and RRA still leaning towards DPMS. Also read several places that Armalite uppers will work with DPMS lowers and vise versa but not sure if thats true or not. Can anybody offer any thoughts on this. THANKS

p.s. this is my first post hence first AR10 purchase.

First off....Thank you for your years of service to our Great Nation.
Second....Welcome to the site.
Every rifle has it's good points and bad...I personally have heard about feeding issues with the Oracle...but as I said...they all have their points....
As for the Upper and Lower question...NO....they won't interchange.
There is a thread with this information in it....I will see if I can find it....I will only say that it is up to you as to which way you go...I as always say....Personal Preference is what it comes down to...but I would just say if you want to be part of the Legacy and join the Pride.....go with ArmaLite....I love both of mine and have not had any issues, they have worked flawlessly.....Just my two cents worth....
Again Welcome to the Site...

Do they even make an "Oracle" in .308? I couldn't find one.

Just so you know the "Oracle" is a 'bottom of the line' product. So the saying 'you get what you pay for' may apply......

Don't have any experience with one, but just sayin'.....

It kinda like one of my subscribers on YouTube....he asked me about my M-15 and what would I recommend....of course I suggested ArmaLite...he said that they were to Pricey...I told him you pay for quality....but still they are less than some out there...he said he was going with a Del-Ton...Oh well...
My recommendation is of course to go with ArmaLite..(The Lion).
I love my AR-10...and it has served me well...rather save your money and buy quality than go cheap and spend even more trying to get it where the other starts....just my .25 worth.. ;)

I too would like to thank you for your service. When it comes to the .308, all manufacturers have different dimensions and tolerances though a few manufacturers (or assemblers)use the same manufacturer for their uppers and lowers. DPMS uppers, lowers, and internal parts aren't interchangeable with an ArmaLite. When it comes to the .308, you need to stick to the same manufacturer when building a rifle as this assures conformity of assembled parts.

Just a note: "AR" stands for ArmaLite and "AR-10" is an ArmaLite trademark.
