Man, I ordered it, like, two day ago... Why isn't it here yet?
Plain Jain AR-10T. Going to top it with a IOR 6-24 with Y-tac reticle. If you have never seen IOR or Barry Wilsons reticle, it's worth a look.

I din't know if I need the 24x but it's all I have now, took it off a 300winmag model 70 with a McMillan stock I'm selling. Can't afford to shoot it!
Welcome!
Someone joked at the range a few months ago when gas prices were high "Gas prices?! I want to know what someone's going to do about Ammunition Prices!"
Can't wait to see a pic of the rifle when it finally arives.
That's an interesting recticle, how well did it work for range estimation?
I am still learning to use it. I am most acustomed to a laser rangefinder. (I am a LEO sniper) so most of my practice is with estimation/dope/shoot/confirm range, and I have become pretty accurate for shooting purposes out to 250 yards. Killed deer out to 350.
I am working with Barry to get the calculations for 6 and 24 power. His operations is set for 10x. I wanted to be able to use it at either 6 or 24x, so I can spin the power adjustment to either stop, estimate hold the set it on what ever power I want.
My limited experience in front focal plane reticles, iirc, is that they appear to become larger as you move to higher magnification, covering more of the target.
I'll stick to whatever you call not front focal plane!
