Hi, I am NIKON.
New comer here. Don't have AR-10 or any long rifle.
I am interested in buying a AR-10, a long range scope, a reloading kits (not for the money, for fun), maybe 1,000 rounds of ammo (what grain?). Last 2 weeks, I have read some of Forum, which is a lot of help for me. Good information. I will continue to read for now and may write some questions later. Then please help me for an instruction, where, what to buy.
Many thanks

Welcome to the site! There are others with a lot more experience than I. I can tell you what I have. The first rifle is an earlier 10T with 24" barrel. The second started as a new 10T with the Mag Pul PRS buttstock, quad rail for end. I am still working on the gas system. I have the SASS gas system, but haven't changed it out until I learn more. The scope is a Leupold 3.5 x 10 Var-X III on an ArmaLite 1" mount with an ARMS quick detachable spacer. I have the Harris S-LM bipod and ARMS 32 adapter for the rail. It looks like the SASS but with the 10T bull barrel and no flash hider. I have ordered a Ching Sling and YHM adapters. The loads so far are Sierra 168 gr (recommnded bullet weight) in Hornady match cases, Varget or 4895. I still use an old Rock Chucker and RCBS electronic powder dispenser. Primers are whatever I can find.
The scope on the older rifle is a 6 x 18 Nikon with mil dot. As a target rifle it does very well, and the scope is OK. If I needed to set up quickly the Leupold is more forgiving. The Harris Bipod and Mag Pul PRS are very good. I had a little trouble with the bipod loosening up when hooked to a sling swivel, on the rail there is no problem. Originally I was going to have 2 top ends and one bottom until I found that I could get a l10B for $420 and have two rifles. With more cash I would have gone with a Leupold long range with illuminated reticle for both.
It really depends on what you want to do with the rifle. Fitted out my "Semi-SASS is pretty heavy. I can see that one of the carbines would carry better and be fine for a lighter rifle. Download the ArmaLite catalog and take a look.
