I want to buy not build a top notch .308 but I have read some reviews and now I'm more confused. DPMS with mag feed problems, heavy trigers, best barrals and lengths. What is the best AR 10 and what is the best value? I would like to keep the price under 2500.

I love my armalite AR10T for just under $1900. 1 moa accuracy. I also like the trigger.
I also have an FNAR that is nearly as accurate. It is lighter. has nice trigger. $1300. It is not built on the typical AR platform, though. It is similar to the Browning BAR. Although mine is very accurate, I know some have not gotten the advertised 1 MOA accuracy.
Between these two, for target shooting, go with armalite.
For hunting, since it is lighter and 1moa accuracy not needed, go with the FNAR . My AR10t with mounts, bipod and scope is well over 10 lb. The ar10T carbine is lighter, but harder to find, though uncle armalite on this site can help you locate one.
I have no experience with DPMS or other brands in the 308 caliber.
check out the company websites for both the above guns and check out the fnar forum as well as this one.
