Finally pulled off a AR-10A4C. Really always wanted one, I guess the political climate and the apparent decrease in numbers of them just talked me right into it. It is new. And I will need any advise you have on break in. I am waiting on the scope for now and am looking for some iron sights.
If it's just a plain barrel, it probably doesnt matter quite as much, but if you make sure you clean through the first several shots, and step it up slowly, don't over heat, it's probably going to be fine.
Yeah it is the standard double lapped barrel. In inspection the tollerances are tighter than a Colt M4. Easy to pull that off, hehe. So I am running it well oiled in the action and will wipe the barrel down with a clean patch every couple of rounds out to 30 or so rounds. Keep the breach clean. Probably use hollow point hot ammo. May shoot it tommorrow. I will open a range report on a new thread and tell of the outcome.
